Instantly removing a curse for the price of only 4 nether stars and one demon heart, I got the statue my second day of playing on the server. In my opinion, a few hours of work for immunity to curses is overpowered. Of course this is a time saver and that is why it is overpowered. The player cursing someone must spend at least 30 minutes getting the items and ultimately the taglocks of the targeted player. I think the recipe should at least be revamped so it becomes "a very late game item" instead of a item which I get before a witches hat. In only the witchery mod this item is EXTREMELY hard to get and that is why it is crafted how it is, however with other mods which can be used to easily get nether stars, the statue is easy to get.
If this item is not banned/restricted it should at least have the recipe changed. My suggestion would be to have to use: 1x Spectral stone(bound to 3 poltergists), 1x Spectral stone(bound to three spectres), 1x spectral stone(bound to three banshees) on the top row, ambrosia on either side of a enderidium block in the middle and on the bottem a Diamond, Amethest, and Manyluminum blocks.
Now that is a end game item.
I personaly think that the statue isnt over powerd. In my opinion its onother witchery item that has powerfull efects, but has carfull precautions bult in to prevent the use overpowered. Enmorph, the mod maker of witchery, took carfull mesures to make his mod fun and to include powerful efects, but have everything balance its self out to prevent anything from being considered over powered. In theory, a just as efective method and posibly less exspensive is to make alot of voodoo protection popets. With enoughf of thoes popets, its imposible to be cursed in the first place due to the fact that the popets will take the curse for you. I supose that Enmorph wasnt trying to build witchery with a spicific mod pack in mind, so his built in protections for the statue are no longer as efective as he intended. But keep in mind that for that same reason, any alterations to balance it out again can be just as easly by passed with the new functions in the mod pack. I supose i could live with a recipie change, if it will make the other people feel better. All im saying is that there are ways to get around a recipie change in the mod pack just as the origonal recipie was no longer as efective as origonaly intended. Pluss on top of that there are other just as efective and posibly less exspensive ways of rendering curses inefective, than just the statue. With the new posibilits the mod pack creates, no one mod is self balanced any more. Not witchery or tinkers or any mod. There is always another way. If a recipie change will make people feel better than i can live with that, but may i ask one thing if that is to happen? If the recipie is changed then can we keep it a witchery recipe? I dont like the idea of mixing other mod items into the recipe for a witchery item. If the recipie is changed then i think it should only use items from valila minecraft and witchery, like it was intended to. It is a witchery mod item after all. I think useing the items it was intended to use would help keep the witchery feel to it, and still help recreate the non overpowered built in protections it was origonaly designed with. It would make alot of people feel better my self included.
the statue is placed in spawn in the towny server so go there if you wnat an easy ride or got to the other servers for the usual ride
